I woke up on Sunday morning with the sun shining, a little tired after the Take That gig the night before, wondering what the days game between Leeds Rhinos and Hull KR would bring. After the last 2 games I wasn’t confident at all. I was sure that Rovers would do the double over us and had told everyone who I work with exactly the same thing. This game had more than just 2 points at stake…there was office rivalries too.
On the way, things changed for the worse, the heavens opened and from that moment on, never stopped. I felt for the away supporters who were standing in the west stand, luckily, being a Southstander, we’re under cover, apart from the occasional drip from the, soon to be updated, roof.
Once I heard the team news, I was a little shocked to see that all the players who had played in the Exiles game, 48 hours, before were there, when we have some strength in depth, like Burgess, Cross, Clarkson, Pitts & Ali. Again, not for the first time this season, this was either going to be a brilliant decision or a diabolical one.
